What does a search advisor cost?
The audit is a fixed €8k–€12k over two weeks. Build engagements run €12k–€20k a month with a three-month minimum, and the advisory seat is €6k–€10k a month. No percentage of spend, ever.
Is that not more expensive than an agency?
Per month, sometimes. Per outcome, rarely. An agency on 15% of a €50k monthly budget costs €90k a year and has an incentive to keep the budget high. A fixed fee removes that incentive, and the engagement is designed to end.
What is the minimum ad budget for this to make sense?
Below roughly €20k a month in media spend the fee is hard to justify, and I will say so on the first call rather than take the work.
Do you run the campaigns day to day?
During a build engagement, yes. As an advisory seat, no: your team runs them and I bring the judgement, the reviews and the escalations.
What happens after the audit?
You get the written action list and you own it, whether we continue or not. The audit fee is credited in full if we do.
